State law requires all students entering or advancing to the 7th grade to provide proof of a Tdap booster before the start of the school year. Students who do not have proof of Tdap immunization on file at school will not be allowed to attend school. It is important that all 6th graders take care of this requirement within the next month.
It is strongly recommended that 6th-grade students bring proof of their Tdap immunization to the school now to avoid exclusion next school year.
As an added incentive for students to get their TDap vaccination, all students with proof of their TDap booster on file will have free dress on February 29th.
Dear Parents and Guardians,
It is critical to the instructional budget of Van Nuys Middle School that all families complete a meal application. VNMS lost close to $200,000 in the 2013-14 school year because many families did not complete a meal application.
Thank you in advance,
Cristina Serrano, Principal
Thank you Ms. Millicent Preston for once again sponsoring a wonderful event that promotes reading and literacy! We appreciate all your hard work and dedication! Well done students of Van Nuys Middle School. You did a fine job representing your school this past Saturday at the Battle of the Books competition.
